Product and Services
Cubic provides a diverse product offering to meet the virtual training needs of our customers. We leverage all of the possible training mediums from classroom learning to full virtual simulators.
One of our key products is our game-based learning product line. Our high-fidelity effort in this arena is our work for the U.S. Navy on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). For LCS training, we developed the Immersive Virtual Shipboard Environment (IVSE). The IVSE is an immersive 3-D, fully operational virtual ship used to qualify and certify sailors in engineering, watch teams, combat systems, interior communication maintenance as well as deck and Mission Bay operations. The IVSE 3-D art is photorealistic, providing an environment that is accurate to 2-centimeters, immersing the user in a virtual ship that faithfully replicates the tactical ship. In addition to vision fidelity, the IVSE has advanced learning components that track, measure and record student performance and provides instant feedback to reduce instructor intensiveness and accelerate learning.
Cubic’s Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) is based on the U.S. Army’s validated small arms trainer. The EST is a highly realistic and cost-effective virtual training system that enhances warrior combat readiness and marksmanship proficiency. It accurately replicates small arms weapons performance, incorporates realistic training scenarios and provides data capture and after action review. The three modes of training offered through the EST are: marksmanship, collective/team-level and shoot-don’t shoot/judgmental use of force. Cubic’s EST solution provides a broad, modernized approach that utilizes the latest technologies and provides efficiency and effectiveness, while supporting low life cycle cost (LCC).
